| repaint. If there's overspray evident, if the gloss (clearcoat) is blotchy, if there's orange peel texture, etc... then that's a sign of reduced value. By how much? It depends on how evident these flaws are. However, if you nitpick too much you'll probably shut down the seller to any possible movement on the price. It's a difficult balancing act. One of the major concerns would be if there was an accident that was serious enough to tweak the frame and cause driveability or alignment issues. I think this would give you more negotiating power but at the same time you need to have evidence to prove this to the seller as well as proving to yourself it's an issue you can live with and/or fix. I'm not sure how long you've been looking, but I agree with SpicyZ that you should probably move on and look for something else. The choice is yours.
